Teenage Girl Bullied For Her Weight Loses 138 Pounds And Looks Like A Movie Star For Prom

Josephine Desgrand was tired of feeling run-down, embarrassed and ashamed of her body. She was only 16 years old, but weighed in at a whopping 278 pounds. Her life was centered around what meal she would eat next, especially if sweets were involved. The teen was concerned her eating was a vicious cycle that would never end!

Saldy, bullies at Josephine’s school ridiculed her relentlessly for her size, even though she was a brilliant girl with a heart of gold. The more she thought about their harsh words, the more Josephine realized she couldn’t take a lifetime of harassment.

She was going to make a change – not to please the bullies, but to finally feel good about herself. Josephine was bound and determined to make everyone’s jaws drop by the time senior prom rolled around!

Over the course of two years, Josephine stuck to a strict diet and worked out regularly. She couldn’t picture life tipping the scale at 300 pounds. That simply couldn’t happen! The determined teen cut out sugars completely, rarely ate carbs and remained dedicated to her fitness plan.

She wasn’t going to risk her physical and mental well-being for a few tasty treats.

It was hard work, but once Josephine got into the habit of eating right and exercising, the weight started to shed right off. It seemed as though she was dropping dress sizes every week!

At the end of the two-year mark since starting her diet, Josephine weighed in. To her surprise, she lost more than 138 pounds!

Josephine proudly shared how she achieved her impressive results on her Instagram page:

“I stuck to a low carb, no sugar diet for TWO WHOLE years. I began to eat natural sugars about six months into my journey. In the first 12 months, I lost 63 kgs [138 pounds]. I do not see this as a diet to lose weight, I see this as my new lifestyle change. In these two years, I have faced some very difficult challenges but I have chosen to pick myself up and keep moving. Everybody has bad days, never let a stumble be the end of your journey.”

When it came time to show off her new body for senior prom, Josephine selected a stunning red dress. She looked just like a model from a fashion magazine!

Josephine proudly waltzed into the prom venue with her head held high and her dress shimmering in the light. This evening was all about her – not about the cruel words bullies once hurled her way.

By the looks of the prom dress above, we’re confident Josephine’s bullies were shell-shocked on prom night. It goes to show that everyone is in charge of their own destinies and you better choose your words wisely! Congratulations, Josephine. You look gorgeous!
