Three New Star Wars Titles Confirmed
Three new movies are going to be added to the Star Wars universe, it has been affirmed.
The movies will extend the universe outside of the Skywalker adventure – and will present a huge number of new characters.
They will be made by Rian Johnson, who is behind the up and coming new portion The Last Jedi, the adventure’s eighth film due for release in December.
Johnson’s consistent associate Ram Bergman will deliver the movies.
In a joint explanation, the two stated: “We had the time of our lives collaborating with Lucasfilm and Disney on The Last Jedi.
“Star Wars is the greatest modern mythology and we feel very lucky to have contributed to it.
“We can’t wait to continue with this new series of films.”
Lucasfilm’s leader Kathleen Kennedy said Johnson is “an imaginative power and watching him make The Last Jedi through and through was one of the colossal delights of my vocation”.
“Rian will do amazing things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy.”
The first establishment has nine movies, including the last portion known as Star Wars: Episode IX, which is coordinated by JJ Abrams and will be discharged in 2019.
